Day 5: Stay Planted Until You’re Replanted (or Recommitted)
“Let us not give up meeting together…but encouraging one another.” – Hebrews 10:25
Silence (2 minutes)
Sit in silence and ask God to steady your spirit.
Devotional Thought:
One of the biggest mistakes people make is leaving a church quickly without having another place to belong. They think they will find a new church right away, but often weeks turn into months and months into years. Slowly, they drift away from being rooted in any community at all.
If God is calling you out, that is okay. But do not leave abruptly. Stay planted until He has replanted you. Keep showing up, keep serving, and keep worshiping until the next assignment is clear.
And if God is calling you to stay, this is the time to recommit. It may not be easy, but staying planted means digging your roots deeper, even in hard soil. Sometimes God does His greatest work in us when we decide to press in instead of pull away.
Prayer:
“Lord, give me patience to stay rooted until You make the next step clear. If You are asking me to stay, give me fresh strength to recommit.”
Action Step:
If you sense God leading you to leave, make a plan not to step out until you know where you are stepping into. If you sense God leading you to stay, write down one way you can re-engage or recommit to your church this week.
Silence (2 minutes)
End by asking God to either prepare you for the next place or strengthen you to go deeper where you are.
