Day 4: Remember Leaders Are People Too
“The important thing is that in every way…Christ is preached. And because of this I rejoice.” – Philippians 1:18
Silence (2 minutes)
Take a moment to quiet yourself before God.
Devotional Thought:
Pastors and leaders carry a heavy weight. They face pressure from every side, and sometimes they stumble. Sometimes they make decisions that disappoint us.
It is easy to expect perfection from leaders, but the truth is they are people just like us. They get tired. They feel pressure. They miss things. Yet God still uses them.
If you are considering leaving because of something a leader did or did not say, pause and remember: God can still work through imperfect people. His mission is bigger than their mistakes.
This does not mean leaders are above accountability. But it does mean our first response should be grace, not judgment.
Prayer:
“God, help me to see my leaders with grace. Remind me that they are people in need of Your strength, just like I am.”
Action Step:
Pray specifically for your pastor by name today. Ask God to give them wisdom, courage, and peace.
Silence (2 minutes)
Close by asking God to soften your heart toward your leaders.
