About Me
I believe leadership is the most powerful force for change - both in the world and in the lives of individuals. When it’s done well, leadership builds trust, sparks growth, and brings out the best in people. When it’s done poorly, the damage can run deep. That belief has shaped the way I live, lead, and create.
Hey, I’m Deryck Artero. I’m a content creator, nonprofit leader, and passionate communicator who’s all about helping people grow closer to God and lead with purpose.
For over a decade, I’ve led in spaces where faith, community, and creativity intersect. I started in ministry launching youth and kids programs from the ground up and eventually coaching leaders across multiple campuses. Now, I serve as the Marketing & Events Lead for a nonprofit in Los Angeles that supports the San Fernando Valley, and I recently earned my Master’s in Nonprofit Management to deepen my ability to lead well and serve better.
One of the most meaningful chapters of my journey has been creating devotional content for YouVersion’s Bible App. Since 2020, I’ve had the opportunity to speak to millions through the Verse of the Day and Kids Bible Experience. That door opened during one of the hardest seasons of my life while walking through my dad’s cancer diagnosis and loss. Creating again became a way of healing, and it reminded me that God often uses our hardest moments to speak the loudest.
I also run Leader Amplified, a storytelling project where I interview everyday leaders and turn their wisdom into short, shareable content. It’s all about giving voice to people who lead with depth, consistency, and heart because I believe those are the leaders who actually make a difference.
Outside of work and ministry, I’m also passionate about animal rescue helping reunite lost pets with their families and TNRing community cats. Whether I’m scanning a microchip or creating a campaign, I’ve found that leadership shows up in the smallest, most compassionate actions.
At the end of the day, I’m just here to help people know they matter, step into their purpose, and lead with intention wherever they are.
